Re: Install After Manufacture Stereo Speakers

You should have two access holes on each side of the boat. Take a look in there, I am pretty sure the 180s are like the 197s in that there is a conduit or piece of plastic tubing. I would think that running wires to speakers would be a royal pain in the ass to mount them in the sides of the hull. I ...

Re: Proper Props

Also, the 20 pitch does seem high. I would contact pioneer to get a straight answer.

Re: Proper Props

Ken, is your engine mounted too low by chance?

I wish I had better advice other than that. You may give pioneer a call and ask them what they would recommend on the 180s.

Re: Checking in

Hey Mike! I had a great year, and I'm hoping it's not over yet! Last time I was out of Morehead City in NC a few weeks ago we caught false albacore until our arms were ready to fall off. We then trolled a temp break and ended up snagging a handful of Kings and a single Mahi. That was the first time ...

Re: Marine Fridge 12V vs Regular 115V with inverter

Interesting topic - I assume this isn't on a Pioneer. I'm not sure which way to suggest but some food for thought... Would an inverter + AC-powered fridge draw more power than a pure DC option? Would a non-marine fridge hold up to the elements (humidity, moisture, etc.)? I found some AC/DC fridges f...

Re: New Forum Member & Soon to be Pioneer owner

you guys all make me jealous. I have a 2005 197 - it's getting old but I can't believe how good this boat has been to me. Even with the Mercury 135 she still scoots pretty good on the water. Glad you've had a great experience with the dealer. Keep us posted as your boat gets finished!

Recommendations for cover?

Anybody have recommendations for where to get a replacement cover for a 197 SportFish? My factory cover from 2005 finally bit the dust and tore through the center after 13 years. I have the bow rails up front if that matters. Curious what everyone is using for aftermarket covers and if they like the...

Re: 8/19 Palm Beach, FL

You guys are so darn lucky to live where you can do this in your backyard. Here in NC, I've gotta hike it out to get to the Mahi except for sometimes when there's a short window of heat that brings them closer to shore. Great fish!
